WoodforTrees announces rocking fundraiser for Dorothy House
Wood for Trees dips a toe into the steamy waters of music promotion on January 26th. Three music acts – all proudly featuring at least one (and in one case four) members with close connections to Wood for Trees or sister company MyLife Digital – will take to the stage at the Widcombe Social Club’s Wharf Room to give their tuneful all in aid of Dorothy House, the local hospice charity we’ve been supporting over the past year or so.
The Widcombe Social Club is a beacon among Bath’s cultural venues. It’s played host to internationally-known comedians such as Jeremy Hardy and Arthur Smith, and staged music from solo classical performers to full choirs.
For Dottystock, the performers include Robbie and the Mavericks (featuring WfT’s Mark Lovell, Aimee Smith, John Kelly and the eponymous hero); Neck of the Woods, with MyLife Digital’s Jason Selby to the fore; and Bacchus, including Steve Carter on guitar.
Tickets are a highly reasonable £10 for all this and DJ Will Andrews as well. There’s an excellent bar and plenty of space to express yourselves through the medium of dance. Either pay on the door on the night, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a ticket. Months in the planning and over in a flash – so don’t miss it!
*** UPDATE *** The event raised over £500 for Dorothy House – thanks to everyone who supported the evening!
