Wood for Trees wins twice at IoF Insight Awards – including Supplier of the Year!
We’re delighted to share the great news that at last night’s 2017 Institute of Fundraising Insight in Fundraising Awards, Wood for Trees scooped both the Supplier of the Year trophy and the ‘Most Powerful Insight from Traditional Methods of Data Analysis’ – the latter in tandem with Barnardo’s.
Commenting on Wood for Trees winning entry in the Supplier of the Year category (in which we were nominated by both Centrepoint and Barnardo’s), the IoF judging panel said: “This entry showed clear evidence of two-way, long-term relationships. The focus on mentoring and training clearly adds to the strength as well as the length of the relationships they have with their clients. It’s clear that Wood for Trees are constantly innovating and coming up with new ideas but also doing the basics well and building upon them in a logical order.” It’s always a competitive category, so we’re particularly pleased to regain the title we last won in 2014. The ‘Most Powerful Insight from Traditional Methods of Data Analysis’ Award was won for our work with Barnardo’s to develop a strategic approach to their cash and raffle programmes. In this instance the judges said: “This was an interesting interplay of two propensity models, and it was also good to see high emphasis given to the supporter relationship. It shows clear consideration of the forthcoming GDPR and is mindful of the impact on the value of supporter relationships. A very strong entry, well evidenced and not afraid to be honest about the difficulties and challenges being faced, with tangible results that show clear and positive impact.”
Wood for Trees was also Highly Commended in the ‘Best use of Data and Analysis in Digital Fundraising’ category, again with Barnardo’s, for our work on changing the course of fundraising at the charity by using analytics to build a strategy for digital. The judges commented: “An impressive piece of work, this was an important strategic project for Barnardo’s, and one that will change the course of fundraising and create a long-term strategy for the charity to use going forward. The project identified a number of significant opportunities for the future and it will be exciting to see what impact it has had in a few years’ time.”
Wood for Trees CEO J Cromack said: “This is a great result, and these awards are testament to the incredibly hard work that everyone in the company has put in over the last 12 months – well done everyone! It reflects well on the lasting relationships that we nurture with all our clients and is something we can all be very very proud of.”
Held at the fabulous Café de Paris in Leicester Square, the awards were also blessed by a visit from the current President of the United States, who honoured guests and winners by compering the entire evening… or was that just fake news?
